The Former President is best known for her charity works and her love for a common common Malawian. She has lived her entire life sacrificing everything for for the betterment of the poor, fellow women, fighting for rights of a girl child and finding means and ways to end child marriages and early pregnancies. An accomplished politician who has risen from an area committee member to a party president and president of a country, the first ever in the country and SADC region, second in the who world, Dr. Banda has a life story to tell. When she assumed office, there was no fuel, import cover was only available for less than a week, people were queuing to buy sugar, the economic situation had worsened, the country’s relation with multilateral donors went sour.
